A single large Welo Opal that shimmers with rainbow colors of vibrant green, cobalt blue, red and orange on a golden background.   Very boho chic in styling and perfect to wear solo or layering with a longer chain and string of pearls. 

Featuring a 14-16mm faceted Ethiopian Welo Opal, carefully hand wrapped with heavy gauge gold filled wire to a delicate 14k gold filled chain. The necklace is designed to be worn along the collarbone - approximately 38-41cm / 15-16” in length - -  and is finished with a Lobster clasp with milky white and blue Welo Opal accents. 

Opal is the birthstone for October babies / the Libra star sign AND a 24th Wedding Anniversary. 

NOTES:

♡︎ Ethiopian Welo Opals absorb water so please don’t wear your Opal jewelry in the shower, swimming etc. If they do get wet, dry them out in a warm, sunny spot and keep them away from moisture sources. 

♡︎ Gold-filled is a US term for jewelry composed of a solid layer of gold (typically constituting at least 5% of the item's total weight) mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or some base metal.

The layer of gold on gold-filled items is 5 to 10 times thicker than that produced by regular gold plating, and 15 to 25 times thicker than that produced by gold electroplate.

All metal used in my jewelry, unless otherwise stated,  is 14k Gold Filled, including chains, wire, clasps etc.
